There is certainly no lack of things to do in the area, however, as Cadair Cottage is so peaceful and serene, you may simply prefer to put your feet up and enjoy being a million miles from care.

Day Spa. There is a full Day Spa just 5 minutes walk from the cottage. The Day Spa offers a range of relaxation therapies, such as massage, facials, manicures, pedicures, etc. Phone 02 4930 1114 to make an appointment.

Wine Tasting. There are scores of vineyards in The Hunter Valley, the closest being literally next-door at Rosebrook Estate. The main wine tasting area begins just 15 - 20 mins drive away, at Lovedale.

Morpeth . If you enjoy antiquing and craft shops, the historic town of Morpeth, just 20 minutes away will be paradise.

Barrington Tops National Park. Approx 45 minutes away. Bushwalking in the beautiful mountain park.

For a pub dinner The Rutherford Hotel, at the turn off from the Highway. Traditional style decent pub food with huge portions, and good house wine. Current specials include one main for $5 when two or more mains purchased, Mon - Fri. Not a lot to look at from the outside, but the bistro is homey and comfortable.
